I'm thankful for everything...
At this moment, I am counting my blessings. And I never want to stop counting..
.
Both families finally met. Yes, only after four years dearie and I got together. I'm trying to act cool about it, but I must confess I am indeed very relieved that our parents seem to get along pretty well. In other words, they gave us their blessings to our relationship. That's the only thing I prayed for.
.
And I'm sure dearie let a huge sigh of relief after his mum met my parents. People say that it's usually the girl's parents who are hard to please. But I'm not too sure about this. No doubt I've seen or heard such things, but, I honestly feel that at the end of the day, all parents just want their kids to be happy. Happy in terms of what? That is the subjective part.

All I can say is that I'm blessed to have parents who are not judgemental and I think they brought me up with such mentality as well.
.
Well, this does not mean I'm going to get married in the shortest time possible though..haha I'm sure on dearie's side, he has some things that he wishes to 'settle' first before he himself decides to settle down with me. On my part, I will TRY to play the role of the understanding girlfriend and I see this as a test for my patience. Yes, I do have my own targets but I think its time to compromise. Instead, I want to have 'our' targets. Dear, let's start from what we hope to achieve by next year. What say you?
